Reaching Out
When Brock Kidd was 9 months old, his family moved to Nashville as his father took the Senior Pastor position at Hillsboro Presbyterian Church. Prior to relocating to Nashville, his parents served as missionaries in a small coal mining town in Kentucky, in one of the poorest counties in the country.
“I grew up watching my mother and father serve our church and community for 38 years before my dad retired,” he said. “Along the way, they founded an orphanage, a school, and a large feeding program in Zimbabwe. I guess I was raised in a family where the idea of outreach wasn’t just an extracurricular activity…it was a way one chooses to live his/her life. It is a blessing that my wife, Corinne, has a similar outlook, and as we raise our children, our efforts on outreach remain a priority.”
